St. George Hospital, Sydney
The St. George Hospital Department of Paediatrics seeks an experienced Paediatric Endocrinologist to work with its multi-disciplinary team of staff, providing expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department. The initial appointment will be for a 12 month locum at 0.4FTE with the opportunity for a permanent appointment to be finalised subsequently.
St. George Hospital is a metropolitan teaching hospital with a well-regarded paediatric unit, with approximately 17,000 paediatric ED presentations per year, 3000 deliveries and 3000 paediatric outpatient reviews per year.
Key selection criteria include: Registration or eligible for registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA); Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or equivalent specialist recognition as per the Staff Specialist Award, and demonstrated subspecialty training in Paediatric Endocrinology; experience in management of patients with paediatric endocrine disorders, and in the management of patients using insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose sensor monitoring systems.
The successful candidate may be eligible for a conjoint appointment to the School of Women’s and Children’s Health and/or the St George Clinical School within UNSW Medicine. The level of the appointment will be determined by qualifications and experience.
