Terms of Reference

  1. To create a network for cancer survivorship endocrinology within the APEG Community
  2. To advise APEG Council on matters relating to cancer survivorship endocrinology in children and adolescents
  3. To optimise the endocrinological aspects of cancer survivorship in children and adolescents by:
    1. promoting education relating to cancer survivorship, particularly the endocrine late effects of childhood cancer and its treatment(s)
      1. including liaison with relevant APEG subcommittees (Training and SAC, Scientific Organising and Fellows School)
    2. promoting research relating to cancer survivorship, particularly the endocrine late effects of childhood cancer and its treatment(s)
    3. disseminating established guidelines for assessment and management
    4. ensuring accessibility and dissemination of family resources
      1. including liaison with relevant APEG subcommittees (Website, Patient Resources)
  4. Represent APEG in collaborations with other professional organisations, for example, in projects aimed at developing and implementing guidelines and protocols.
  5. Advocate for and enhance the representation of paediatric endocrinology within the field of Cancer Survivorship.

How to Join the Committee

APEG sends out a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) every 2 years shortly (in ‘even’ numbered years) after the AGM asking for members to submit their EOI to join the group. If you would like to be part of the group outside of this time frame, please contact the APEG Secretariat
